After many years designing dresses for local women, Atefeh Bigdeli began to have problems with her back. She decided to hang up her needle and thread and open Febéli Boutique so she could continue to offer the women of Calgary unique high-fashion items. “We opened in March 2012,” Atefeh says. “I designed from 1998 in my own studio until then. I am enjoying it immensely. Working with high fashion is what I love.”

The shop carries sophisticated international brands such as Diktons from Barcelona and Sfizio and Beatrice from Italy, as well as the Canadian SCAPA line from an independent French Canadian designer in Montreal. “I go to Italy frequently to look for new designers and lines of clothing,” Atefeh says. “In November of 2014 we started carrying Ken Aan, a men’s line from Turkey. Husbands and boyfriends would come in and want to shop with their wives, so we decided to help them do so.”

    Great and very successful shopping at this lovely boutique. I had 3 weddings and events surrounding the weddings to find outfits for and looked around much of Calgary to no avail..."standard dresses didn't fit me right...then came upon this store where I found 3 dresses I love (plus). The best part is that alterations were included and done in store by the very knowledgeable and experienced owner. I am so thrilled to have the personal touch I experienced. My new "go-to" shop!
