Kent of Inglewood manager Nathan Gareau describes the men's grooming accoutrements shop as “a hundred-year-old store that opened up about a year ago.” It seems a strange and brash statement, but once you visit the store and see what it has to offer, it makes complete sense. The shop's handsome interior brings to mind an earlier era. “We specialize in classic shaving. We believe that shaving is something that should be enjoyed and savoured, as well as the act of personal grooming. We also love axes, stiff cocktails and bowties.”
With a wide selection of straight and safety razors, shaving creams, beard oils and more, this store has become, in a short time, a destination in Calgary for those who take their facial hair (or lack thereof) seriously. “Shaving is something that most of us have to do every day," Nathan points out. "You can either love it or not love it. If you love a small part of the everyday, you’re going to be happier overall. It’s a simple enough theory, and it simply involves using more quality products that make you happy and cost about the same amount of money as the products of lesser quality."
