Fitness and personal training are close to Tanya Ferren’s heart. Working with a remarkable trainer helped her overcome an eating disorder when she was young, and she’s loved the profession ever since. Tanya’s been a trainer since 2009, and opened Tough Love Fitness in 2015 to offer a personalized, comfortable training environment for her clients in her own home studio.
“I focus mainly on weight loss and toning,” she says. There’s more to personal training than just sets and reps, though. “We’re not just a trainer,” Tanya explains. “We’re also a friend and a counsellor. We’re where people come to let their stress go.”
Tanya also values education and has completed courses with Canfit Pro, Olympic Lifting, TRX and more. She understands that the fitness world is constantly evolving, and she likes to keep up. “I usually try to go to school or educate myself several times a year,” she says.
