    unprofessional - no people pleasers here

    My sister in law had purchased a voucher for 2 45 minute massages for me as a Christmas gift from Evergreen Clinic. I booked an appointment however the early morning hours brought a blizzard resulting in a whiteout, dangerous road conditions and power outages all over the city. As I was coming from Sherwood Park, this would have to take me out on roads that even buses were not travelling, radio announcers telling people to stay off the road as there were vehicles in the ditches everywhere wrecking havoc for anyone on the road. I called to cancel my appointment, although it was not the 24 hour advance notice they require, but these were not normal conditions. I was told that not only was my voucher invalid now but I would have to pay $35 to receive my second treatment if I still wished to use it!!! When I spoke with the person from the clinic explaining the situation, his response was "I still had to make it to work on time"???? There was no consideration or professionalism in the handling of this issue at all. And I cannot understand why, even if I lose the first massage, why I have to pay for the second when the voucher is good for two? It is my understanding that companies provide these deals in order to drive business into their doors. This clinic has not only succeeded in driving this prospective client out, but also anyone I know will be privy to this outrage. The unprofessional and unsympathetic actions from these people has also driven me to write my first blog EVER. Definitely not someplace I would recommend anyone visit or purchase gift vouchers for.

    Worst service!

    I work in customer service industry and understand how important it is for a business to provide good customer service in order to differentiate themselves from numerous competitors. Unfortunately, this remains a secret for the staff at Evergreen salon. This place is not too far from my house so I decided to make an appointment for a massage one day. The gentlemen on the phone was very abrupt, it seemed like they were booked up because of a Groupon/Living Social deal that was going on at the time where they offered their services for about 50% off. I can understand busy, it's good for the business but it's not going to last forever if you don't take care of your customers because when the initial rush is over there's got to be something that makes people want to come back! The man on the phone did not ask me what my availability was nor he was willing to work with me on finding a time that would work best. His attitude was clear: "you are an interruption to my day!". I am yet to receive such a horrible treatment which explains why I will never go back to that place and want to warn others. Every woman knows that going to a beauty salon is like a mini-holiday where all you want to do is smile, be happy and get pampered. Well, Evergreen is NOT the right place for it! No wonder they had to offer extremely discounted prices for their services because besides being dirt cheap the salon has NOTHING else to offer!
