This office is terrible. The administration is incompetent and the dental expertise are parallel. They use equipment intended for adults on children; they make errors on insurance claims and then pass the costs on to their patients; they tell like to tell patients if they are in pain as opposed to asking the patient for their opinion. Our personal favorite are the threats of bills for services closed 6 months ago that only appeared after we told them we were not coming back. Really classy.
FIRST, I called to ask SPECIFICALLY if they deal with children a lot, if they have smaller sized x-ray film because I have small children, 1 of which has a small mouth and horrible gag reflex. I was told yes, that their x-ray film is small. (That was false) SO, When we went in, the hygenist was very nice and patient with my son, but the film was regular sized and he could't get the x-rays done. The male dentist came out and took a quick 35 second peek in my sons mouth, took me in his office, and suggested I take him to a psychologist to find out the real reason his mouth is soar.... PARDON ME? I had taken my son to the doctors office the day prior, determined he is healthy and was told to take him to the dentist. The only reason I didn't take him to our regular dentist is because they don't have the small film. I called numerous dental offices in the area to ask specific questions regarding the x-ray. They were the only office to tell me they could do it, except for the pediatric dentists that weren't booking in the forseeable future! I will NEVER go back there! I can't believe they charged me $65 for that! 35 seconds of the dentist looking in my childs mouth! I tried to explain that this is not the first time my child has been to the dentist, that he has had fillings before, that he is usually not nervous... the dentist said he didn't see any fillings!!!! WHAT??? He repeated that I have to take my child to a psychologist... Well, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure psychologists don't deal with teeth. So, I was charged for that.... and my childs mouth still hurts. This uninsured Momma will be calling around again...
