Specializing in homestyle breakfast and lunch favourites, Dot’s Café is a traditional American-style café with quite the history serving the Langley community. “Dot’s has been around for more than 50 years, we are the fifth owners,” says Eric Liu. Eric came on board as the café’s manager when head chef and Langley local, Jane Shen, took ownership in the spring of 2014.
“Jane has always loved cooking and she decided that she wanted to try something different from Chinese food,” says Eric. Having spent many years focusing her culinary career on Asian cuisine, Jane was ready for a new challenge and jumped at the opportunity to take over her favourite neighbourhood diner when the previous owners decided to sell after 13 years in business.
Despite the ownership change, the menu has remained. Diners can continue to enjoy all of their favourites at Dot’sCafé. “We follow all of the first owners’ recipes,” says Eric. “We didn’t make any changes to the menu because Dot’s has a lot of loyal customers.”
