“I’ve always had a love of the arts,” says Luke Park. Prior to taking ownership of Willowbrook Art Gallery back in 1994, Luke pursued his passion through fine art studies at Kwantlen College.
Conveniently located in Langley’s Willowbrook Shopping Centre, this well-established, family-owned and operated gallery offers a showcase of both local and North American artistic talent, as well as stunning examples of the Park family’s expert custom framing. The gallery carries an extensive selection of limited edition prints from artists like Robert Bateman, Carl Brenders, Kinkade, Pino, Carol Evans, Judi Wild, Brian Croft and Fred Buchwitz.
“We also try to bring in new upcoming local artists to present to the public,” says Luke. In 2014, Willowbrook Art Gallery introduced the work of Jace Kim, an Emily Carr graduate.
“His work is very modern and contemporary, a sharp contrast to the landscape, wildlife and nature pieces we carry, which generally attract older clients,” says Luke. “It’s interesting to see people’s reactions. We have received a lot of positive feedback from the younger generation, which is great.”
