Located on Granville Island – surrounded by craft guilds, artist studios and theatres – Vancouver Writers Fest celebrates its own art form through offering year round literary events and experiences to readers across Vancouver and British Columbia.
Led by a team of bibliophiles – with esteemed artistic director, Hal Wake, and executive director, Nicole Nozick, at the helm – the non-profit delivers robust programming each year. This includes an eponymous October literary festival, youth education programs, a spring reading series, and year round special events – all of which celebrate the magic of words to inspire, unite and change the way we see the world.
“Whatever the venue may be – a theatre, local library or school classroom – our purpose is to bring writers and readers together to share stories and spark conversations,” says Nicole.
