Terry Kawchuk

Knowledgeable, friendly, has lots of time for his patients, and does not have long wait times. He is a straght-shooter, and does not believe in treating things that don not need treatment, or getting tests that are not needed. He also is not afraid to tell you when he does not know the answer. I have questioned his diagnoses before and at the time wished he had have done more tests, but in the end hes been right 100% of the time. He knows his stuff.

Worst place ever,...

Worst place ever, the receptionist is extremely rude, I came for a medical, but I had a test on the same day, I paid 140$ to get there, all I asked for was a doctors note so I can show proof as to why I couldn't sit for the test. But she said she can't do it even after I explained and begged she was still rude. Even my dad spoke to her on the phone and she still did not try and give me a note. Never coming here again!

Good doctor, but very bad staff

I've been seeing Dr. Kawchuck since I lived at Fenwick. I went to his office yearly to get my flu shots. He's a great doctor. Very friendly, and knowledgeable. One great thing about him is that he's available most of the time. One thing that isn't great is his staff. Dorothy has such a bad attitude toward her patients. She treats them very poorly. Gave me attitude when I asked her to fax a confirmation letter to my family doctor's office in another province. At first she said she didn't have any of those types of forms, and that I would have to mail it to them. Then she finds a form, and asks me to fill it. The first and only thing I said was "Oh, so you do have a form". and she says "don't give me attitude", turns to another patient and says "I go out of my way to help someone out, and they give me attitude". I sucked it up, and went to have a seat. She had scheduled me in to see Dr. Kawchuck in between 12 - 3 that day. The worst part was, I never got to see the doctor. I sat there and she knew I wasn't going to see the doctor. I waited an hour, and finally went up and asked her how much longer it was going to be, and she said that there were too many patients and they didn't have any time left, and that I had to made another appointment. I told her that she should have told me if I was not going to see the doctor, so that I didn't waste an hour sitting in the office. She didn't appologize, instead she kept giving ME attitude and said "I told you to come in between 12 - 3, and you came in at 2pm. and there were too many patients, and there isn't any time to fit you into the schedule". She actually called me "little man" on my way out the door. I felt like I was being harassed when I left. I don't know if she's like this to all of her patients, or she was just having a bad day. I hope she starts treating the patients better, or Dr. Kawchuck finds another secretary. Otherwise, I'm finding another doctor's office.
