When we arrived, our server took time to come and get our order. We then waited approximately 10 mins before our soup and salad had even arrived. The soup vegetables were under-cooked and cold and my partner's ceasar salad came with so little dressing; it did not even look like there was any on it so he asked kindly for a side dish. Within 5 minutes of our soup and salad arriving, our main dishes arrived. I ordered the Linguine Chicken Amatriciana. Worst dish I have yet to order. The chicken was
I have been to this location several times in the last few weeks and overall there has been great consistency. Service was excellent and the pasta was outstanding! On Fridays you receive unlimited bread or salad, and it tastes great!
Oh, where to begin... The server was prompt at first but when our nachos (stale with canned sauce)came out she did not check on us. We were nearly finished when I asked her where the cheese sticks I had ordered for the kids were. She asked if we still wanted them? What?? She put the order in then. Ten minutes later she took our dinner order. Almost half an hour after arriving. The kids food didn't come for nearly another half hour. Three kids pizzas should not take that long (the fourth kids dinner was five minutes later). The two adult meals came ten minutes later with only half of my meal delivered. I had to ask for my salad. She asked if I still wanted it? Again?? No refills were offered. The kids did not get dessert as it took so long to eat we had to leave. We were not checked on at all until I asked for our meals. I feel like this place has given up entirely. We didn't even see a manager the entire time we were there. The terrible, canned sauce, the panini that tastes like cooking spray and the total lack of service really put me off coming back to this location.
This is an OK restaurant in Cambridge. I have been going to this one for about 8 years now. I love the Linguine Chicken Tetrazzini. Great Place!
Never again will I eat at Eastsides. There service is the worst ever, the food has really gone down hill. This used to be the place to eat and it was really good....not anymore. In the last year we have eaten at this location at least 5 times and everytime I regret it. I wish they would re-train the servers, and the food of course tastes like it's all frozen which I am told from a former employee that is actually is all pre-cooked and packaged. Sad, because I used to really like it there, but now I only go to the real Italian restaurants that serve fresh and tasty food.
I have found my favourite restaurant. The hostess opened the door and welcomed me into the restaurant. We had a bit of a wait at the door, as it was a busy night. When sat, our waitress came right over and took a drink order, and paid special attention to the kids. She came out promptly with refills without us having to ask. While we were waiting for dinner, she even took my kids to see the kitchen! Our food came out hot and delicious! Obviously these people with all the negative things to say have never worked in a restaurant before! I'd like to see them go there and serve!
Have been to many East Side Mario's before. This one has the worst customer service. Was seated right away as restuarant wasn't very busy. Then waited over 20 minutes to have our order taken. Meal then took over an hour to come and it was cold. This was my second visit to this location, first was just as disappointing.
Honestly the poorest operating restaurant. I tried to give this place another chance but it seems like its gotten worse. Staff here have always lacked professionalism. The time I went they were out of Italian Wedding Soup so had to get salad. If you like East Side Mario's don't come to this one. Pasta was very bland and bread was dry. Drinks tend to take some time as well. Best to go to an independent restaurant to get better service, value and quality.
ordered pint of beer,coors.worst beer i,ve ever had,something wrong with the taps,beer was skunky,after the third attemp on the beer,the manager came and thougth we were tryin to get a free meal,paid for the meal,told him to get the taps cleaned and will never return,good reidence,,,,,,,,

This was the best servioce,food and atmosphere i have had in soo long.....i have read the other comments and i don't think they are true at all. our server was great, knowlegable, kind and conciderate. the food was on time and tasted fantastic i will being going back very soon.
By far the BEST East Side Marios for sevice. The food is the same as any other in the chain but the staff knows how to treat the customer right.
I first started coming here last summer, though I have lived in the city for years - I had just never got around to visiting. Since the first visit, I have been back at least once a month. The problems of the previous negative reviews have most *certainly* been solved, and I know that the place is now under new management (I work at another restaurant in the area and so I am kept informed of these changes :D ) and I have to say that I am always very impressed. No server is perfect, but I have always had good service and good food. Any small issues have been resolved as soon as the inquiry is made, and the staff seem to work as a team - I have seen them help each other out when the place is quite busy. And it is busy! I waited 40 minutes for a table last week, because it was worth it. Even the staff who are still in training are very gracious and seem very eager to do their job correctly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and would like to assure visitors that because the place is under new management, the previous issues in earlier reviews have been solved. And for the record, the peanut butter and chocolate dessert is to die for. :D

Brutal service, if waiting for an hour and getting cold food is your thing, than this is the restaurant for you. The people seating you are rude, the service brutaly slow, but we almost got a smile from the waitress. This restaurant is the prime example of why the government should not include tips on your food bills like they want.
Terrible Service. Initially we were told that the aproximate wait time would be "about 5 minutes" by the seater. While we waited not only did the staff yell back and forth across the restaurant and turn away a party the restaurant had lost the reservation for but about twenty-five minutes later (after the seater had walked away) another staff member gave our table away!! We walked out.
I ordered the "Hell Kitchen's Chicken" And oh yeah the dinner was definitely a hell: 1) Waited for 1 hour and 10 mins for main course 2) Oh wait, my starter of a Small Nacho was brought in along with my main course...why is that?! 3) Worst of all, the bill was brought to us 5 minutes after the main course was brought...once again what is the meaning of that?! 4) No explanation whatsoever why the main course was late 5) no explanation whatsoever why they took 1 hour and 10 mins to bring in my small appetizer 6) No apologise whatsoever (Mind you guys I was the only person on my table to order a starter) 7) The waiter acted like he doesn't care. ie. avoiding eye contact 8) No discount or a complimentary desert to make up for the long one-hour wait we went through.
The initial service was good. Then came the food. The server brought 3 heavy dishes out together. They slipped out of her hands. The burger went into the pasta. She quickly took everything away (it could have been corrected at the table had she have asked the customer), she did not clean up the mess until asked and then used our napkins to clean up which were not replaced. Finally, we all got our meals except for my daughter who waited and waited and waited for a replacement burger. We were all finished our meals and then her burger arrived with a frozen bun. We asked to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, that was who we were dealing with already. She offered to give us the burger meal at no charge. Well it was a Tuesday and kids eat free regardless. This is the second terrible experience we have had at the Cambridge facility. In talking to others customers, I find we all have similar stories. It is too bad. You spoiled my daughters birthday dinner and when this was pointed out all we got was an arguement from the manager. No Happy Birthday song, no treasure box, and the worst service I have ever experienced! TERRIBLE ..............
