Carrier furnace installed by Asbuilt 5 years ago. Furnace quit, so we had them come out to service. Secondary heat exchanger had failed. Office said part wasn't covered, and they needed 650$ to cover administrative and diagnostic fees, parts and shipping. I had a look at the carrier warranty (and confirmed with carrier corporate) that parts and 4 hours labor are reimbursed to dealer, so they should have stood behind what they sold instead of charging the customer for the full repair. Beware!
Two separate occasions they were suppose to come over and never showed up. Didn't receive a phone call to say otherwise. I have taken two days off of work to be home for them. Very disappointed in this company.
I got 2 quotes for a furnace and Ac replacement. Jeff at Asbuilt crawled around in my crawlspace and inspected the electrical box planning the entire project. The other firm didn't go into the basement at all--it is clear that with them, sales and install are 2 different silos. Asbuilt cares about the entire customer experience. And their quote came in very similar too. Now installed, my system is sleek clean and they even used a marker to label important items for me! Thanks Jeff and Asbuilt.
Recently our eight year old furnace broke down. We had an extended warrantee through Carrier. When we called Asbuilt the receptionist was impatient. The company tried to change us fees in addition to what is covered by our warranty: a diagnostic fee and a processing fee for each part that might be ordered. We called another company, they came out promptly and did not charge us any fees above and beyond what was covered by the warrantee. Be careful about what they charge you.
