My family and I love East Side Mario's but our most recent visit was disappointing. In our party we had one member with dietary restrictions (gluten intolerance) and he requested that his spinach dip come with corn chips or something. Upsetting that with so many unique dietary restrictions out there that restaurants are not adjusting/modifying their menu.
Went to East Side after a very long period of time and we really enjoyed our dinner. It was little loud at the moment but other than that food and service was excellent.
I stay in Guelph a lot on business and like to eat out. I've had some bad experiences at the restaurants in this area, especially located in the mall there. I was really impressed with the level of service at this location. The food was hot and fresh I was very impressed.
My boyfriend and I hadn't been out for dinner in a little while, so we both agreed to go to East Side. The Ceasars were awesome! Our server was new and in training, but very polite. Our salad was crisp, our bread was hot, as well as our meal. We were very happy with everything.
The service was horrendous. It took 15 minutes for someone to even take our drink orders and when we asked for pitcher of Stella she laughed in our faces as if having a pitcher of Stella was absurd. The food was pretty good but the whole experience kind of ruined my appetite. The horrible service ensures I will not be back.
Garden salad was nice but could have used more chicken. Chicken P was usual standard from ES. Atmosphere was nice in the bar and waitress was friendly.

This is one of those restaurants where whenever you go nothing is different or bad...All of the employees are top notch with the most fantastic service...The food is scrumptious and the portions are so large you go away always with a take out package with your leftovers...the most delicious hot baked loaves of garlic bread and the best salads that are all you can eat...The best thing is that the waiter/waitress brings you more without you having to ask.. and they are also very attentive with all your needs such as more water or your bill..Top notch service ..The pasta or pizzas or other menu features are so good as are the desserts and beverages in huge glasses with tons of ice so they are cold ..I give two big thumbs up for this place and recommend it to anyone who loves value for their money and good food and a smile when they leave.
the salad is okay but its all you can eat so i enjoy it! the food is mediocre but they have cool signs to let the waiters know when you want more salad, so you dont have to ask!
Not bad, portion size was a little small. Included a house salad and bread, so overall was fine. Nothing spectacular. Was with a large group, and they handled us well.
The food was pretty good - tasty, fresh and it came quickly. The service was very friendly and quick. It seems to be a good place to go for a quick lunch.
I don't particularly like ESM as I have a hard time finding something on the menu that I find good but the chicken tettrazini was actually pretty good and I will probably order it again.

absulutly awsome. The waiter was geat (not to mention cute) very busy but always checking on us. Nice friendly atmosphere, great artwork/displays. Food was quick considering how busy it was. And delisious! Wasn`t too expensice considering what we ordered and how great it was. Will for sure be visiting again, and have since. Would definatly reccomend it to friends!
We all had the pasta special which was great. Lots of attention
given us. There was an issue with one of the pops which was
instantly taken care of. Desert was great although I am
suspicious of the claim it was diet. No fear, we fear no desert.

I am glad I had not read the reviews before we went. The place was busy, and lots of university students.
Ceasars were great, salad was as good as any chain I have ever had, and the pasta was pretty darn good. 2 of us wanted it hot
and both had different descriptions of how hot. I thought, oh boy this could be trouble. What returned and all 4 of us had the same thing, was incredible. The cook nailed it perfectly. I tried my other buddies hot version because I had to see if there was any difference, and oh yes, sweat pouring. I will
give them credit, food was about as good as it gets for a chain, Service was great. Potential improvement if they had asked us
if we wanted a second drink or coffee before the bill arrived, but overall, we will go back.
The pasta we had was bolgonese sauce and the house salad.Pasta was cooked PERFECT and I am hard to please sometimes.Salad was very good as well.Our server Colleen was an absolute darling.She was very attentive and very personable.Excellent choice in hiring her for sure.

I haven't liked the food I've had at other East Side marios because the food was so greasy. This particular location though, the food wasn't greasy at all. The soup was ok. It had a lot of pasta but only one meatball and was a bit too salty, but more like a sign of a big batch being made and it had been sitting for awhile. I liked the chicken--the crispyness and amount of cheese was just right, although I guess it little more cheese wouldn't have hurt. The pasta on the side was too dry but the sauce was good. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and provided quick services where she could.
