During the 2012 Voyageur Days in Mattawa, we visited the Moon Cafe on a few occasions. It is definitely the place to go to relax. We sat on the patio and listen to the music. The lady owner was very kind, friendly, with smiling face. The servers were young but the service was quick and great even on the last day of the festival. The food was excellent. I’m planning to visit the Moon Café again.
We have been to the Moon Cafe on a few occasions when visiting Mattawa. It is a relaxing and comfortable atmoshpere and the owners, Bev and Lorne, make it that way. The food is always good and prepared just like home...it may take a little longer but it isn't fast food! When there is music, it is always like the food, just like home. The kind that makes you want to eat slowly, enjoy friends, sip a beer and appreciate being alive. The Moon Cafe is definitely a "one of a kind" place and worth the time to visit.
