Payless Car Rental Toronto Pearson International Airport

When I asked to rent a SUV your site showed Ford Explorer or Hundai Santa FE as the options I would be given - Not a Jeep which is all they had !! No information given with confirmation as to where to go, (Viscount Station), no info once there ! 9 calls to get through and finally told to wait for shuttle- not in Toronto Airport at all ! Got the Jeep on Dec. 23rd at 10 pm with NO GAS - Light ON, NO WASHER FLUID AND NO SCRAPER OR BRUSH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER IN ONTARIO !!! UNACCEPTABLE !

Payless Car Rental has now been moved to the Crowne Plaza Hotel and is under new management. Service is excellent and vehicles are reliable. Shuttle service is prompt and reliable.

Horrible. Inconvenient location far from terminal. Absolute chaos. Old dented and very scratched van with little gas in it. Will never patronize this business again.

It was pathetic client service. There was a lady at the counter, she had no respect for clients. Very unprofessional staff. I booked an economy car they were trying to give me a jeep wrangler instead. On my insistence they gave me Altima. Car wasn't clean. It looked if they had no time to service. Insurance was never disclosed before while booking. While booking impression was given of unlimited kms. When I asked about it very unconvincing answer was given. If I wasn't getting late I would not rent from here. Well I would never rent here again and would never recommend anyone.

no shuttle, nothing from the airport itself. ended up taking a taxi even though i have my credit card insurance, they were trying to sell their 25$ a day insurance to me,.got the car and proceeded to inspect it for damage. multiple scratched and dents, stains in the backseat. no interior or exterior washing, and when i checked the fluids there was almost no oil in the car. the little bit there was inside was black and thick, obvious it had not been checked or changed in a long time.

Rude men here that obviously disrespect women! I was forced to pay for crossing the border even though I didn't do it! I wasn't told this was a non-refundable item when I mentioned I MIGHT cross for a day. They also gave me a car that wasn't full of gas. I contacted Payless when I got home and got a disrespectful response (surprise) saying they wouldn't refund the $13. The man addressed me as "Hello Dear" in his reply. They have an F rating with the BBB. Not surprising!

Buyer Beware! Horrible service

The location isn't "Terminal rental counter and pick-up" even though that's what the receipt says. There were no directions either on the receipt or in the airport to get to the rental location. There was no signage at the shuttle pickup area to the hidden phone kiosk where you call for the shuttle which took at least 45 minutes to arrive even though the location was 5 minutes away. Poor customer service, I would never use this company again.
