When Peter Blake was fresh out of college, he and his now-wife Julie decided to join forces and create their own design agency. It started with Peter renting space from his then-employer and switching gears to work on his own projects as soon as the clock hit 5 p.m. “We were young and didn’t know any better,” he says with a laugh. “But it turned out to be the best thing possible.” Within two years, Aftershock Creative was a full-time job for Peter and Julie, and they’ve been using their expertise to help local and national companies reach people in creative ways ever since.
Aftershock Creative’s expertise spans both traditional print media and the latest in online marketing and design. “Starting in the mid-90s, we definitely cut our teeth on print,” Peter says. “But as the world changed, we grew and changed as well. Whether it’s print or online, traditional or cutting edge, good design is good design. It starts with a great idea that’s based on strong strategy and then good execution.”
