A Bad Buffet
It Is A Buffet After All. Well, we were driving past the track and on the spur of the moment decided to try the Buffet...and maybe drop a few in the slots. As it turned out, we won pretty good so we went into the Buffet. It was free lobster night after all. First, the staff should be made to clean and iron their clothes. They were huddled around the entrance and many of them looked like they just slept in dirt clothes. It is a Buffet. How bad can the salad bar be? It, in fact was the best part. While eating out salad, a young man came and asked if we would like our free lobster. Now? Yes he said. We said we would like it with our main course. when we got our main course we had to chase down someone to get the lobster. Oh, could we have some water please? Now? Oh yes please. Water comes and I needed to ask if I could have mine in a glass without lipstick still on it. Anyway, the main buffet. It happened to be a Jamaican night, cool.....oh wait. The rice and beans were cool, and had no flavour. The goat stew was unchewable, the fish something or other smelled bad, the sweet potatoes were awful. So, back to the old tried and true, prime rib roast. Must have been an old cow that was run to the track. It was awful and, there were no other starches except for the sort of baked sweet potato wedges, no backed, no roast, no mashed. it was only $19.99 each so no big deal but, all in all, it really is a waste of money. Maybe it was an off night? It was good that the slots paid us good or else I would have really been P'd but, with free cash in your pocket, you get over bad service and food. It was not good, I do not recommend the place yet it is packed. they said they had 500 reservations that night. Go figure. Oh yea, it was packed with "elderly" people. The over 70 crowd must like the place a lot.
