Craig Shear, co-owner of the Superior Tire Auto franchise in Oak Ridges, does not mince his words when discussing the main problems his industry faces. “Unfortunately, the automotive repair business can have a less than great reputation," he says. "A lot of our clients tell us that they don’t have enough knowledge about vehicles to know if what is being quoted is really needed. Women especially tend to distrust the industry, but we make it our mission to make them feel comfortable. This is why we explain everything in detail and give them all options available."

Craig is equally upfront about how he and his co-owners, his brothers Ryan and Jon, deal with the skepticism they encounter. "By being an honest and fair priced shop," he says simply. "People are attracted to the fact that we pride ourselves on customer service." The brothers provide full mechanical services for all makes and models of vehicle; from tire repairs to transmission rebuilds.
