Me and my wife went there for our wedding anniversary. We orderd the 2 can dine 8oz new your steak dinners. First off the waitress seemed to think the bread was not included when we got our food we asked about it and she said it was only included in the regular menu. It was an honest mistak i guess. When we got home we looked again online at the 2 can dine menu and we did get the bread that she forgot to gives us. When we got our food we found the vegtables seemed like they were cooked from frozen. The 1 meal had mashed poatoes and a 3rd of it was crusty. Both steaks seemed kind of chewy. But what was strange last valintines day we order the same 2 steak dinners and it was really good. Over all the best thing about the meal was geting the dessert.
Friendly and courteous service. Salads and sandwiches are very good. I eat here often, and my only complaint is I ordered a pasta dish once and the pasta was very undercooked. Good value for the money.

Stokes is sort of a great "default" place of dining in Sarnia. Decent food, decent service. I've gone many times over the years, some experiences were better than others.
Most frustrating though, is that they seem to close or shut down the kitchen at completely random times, often very early.
The experience here is similar to the "Bay" location, but I have encountered at least a couple over stressed waitresses at the "Inland" location who were quite on the rude side.
EXCELLENT PLACE TO WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS OR JUST AS A COUPLE.SERVICE WAS WONDERFUL AS WAS THE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF FOOD FOR THE PRICE.I CAN SEE WHY THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR OVER 20 YEARS.KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK STOKES!!!

Went in for dinner with my family.And as always they have been cosistantly above average over the last 4 years,but this time they had out done themselves.The ribs and broasted chicken combo were not only huge portions for the money,but also great tasting.Keep up the good work STOKES.Two thumbs up!!!

Nachos-with exception of top ones rest were soggy and edges were burnt, did not eat. Told waitress they were soggy no response when she took them away or apology
The last visit around 6 months ago with out of town visitors was also nothing special to make you come back. Very disappointing is that at my work today is a survey with people listing their favourite restaurant and 2 people have stated Stokes which one lead me to report my disatisfaction on your site and second tell these people about my unsatifactory birthday dinner.
