Granville Island Brewing
1441 Cartwright St, Vancouver BC V6H 3R7As Canada’s first microbrewery, Granville Island Brewing has brought local brews to thirsty Vancouverites (and beyond) since 1984. Located on Cartwright Street and across the street from the famous Kids Market, this brewery is a Granville Island icon. Visit the tap room to taste their original lager or to sip on their latest small-batch beers. Or, if you have some more time to spare, book a tour for a sampling of three tasters and a behind the scenes experience.
Dockside Restaurant
1253 Johnston St, Vancouver BC V6H 3R9Dockside, tucked beside the stylish Granville Island Hotel, offers unforgettable views of the city and False Creek. Start with a tasty bite from the restaurant’s menu – like the flavourful Thai bouillabaisse or grilled Haida Gwaii halibut – and then quench your thirst with a pint from their fresh, handcrafted beer selection. Located on Anderson Street, adjacent to Vancouver TheatreSports League’s The Improv Centre, Tony’s Fish & Oyster Café is the place to hit on Granville Island. Pair one of the local brews on tap (by the glass or pint) with Tony’s amazing homemade tartar sauce, battered fish and fresh cut chips.
