Easter weekend 2016 will mark the first ever brunch at this beloved Temperance-Street restaurant. Also the great culinary minds behind Kasa Moto and Colette, The Chase introduces their new brunch series, that will feature a la carte items like smoked ham breakfast sandwiches, King crab eggs Benedict, and veggie frittatas, alongside shareable brunch platters (salmon and pastrami plate, anyone?), and a raw bar featuring oysters, clams, shrimp and lobsters. The resto-bar is taking reservations now for Sunday brunch, 10 am to 3:30 pm.
This Danforth mainstay has long been the spot for evening wine and tapas to weekend breakfast, and their Easter brunch is no exception. Globe Bistro offers a three-course prix fixe menu on Easter Sunday ($29 and a $10 menu for children 12 and under) and it’s stacked with all the necessities: smoked trout and house-made organic granola parfaits, brioche French toast or slow roasted Wellington County ribeye. Oh, and finish off with some delectable desserts (strawberry rhubarb crumble a la mode topped with cinnamon sugar, for instance). Plus, kiddies will be treated with goodies from the Easter Bunny.
You can head to this gorgeous Yorkville brasserie for a prix-fixe Easter brunch that’s about as mouth-watering as they get (three courses at $75 a person, plus an a la carte kids menu). Begin with such delights as a yogurt parfait, Nicoise salad, cheese board or steak tartare, and tuck in with entrees like lemon ricotta hotcakes, duck confit hash, chicken and waffles, or eggs benny. Thirsty? Drink it down with a fresh cold-pressed juice, a Bloody Mary or a peach Bellini.
Enjoy Easter brunch at this gorgeous, sprawling resto-lounge in the Entertainment District. It’s a great option for adults looking to kick back with a mimosa and a selection from the buffet’s carving station, hot bar, salad bar, dessert bar, or seafood station. If you’re rolling in with kids, look out for cute Easter items on the menu (mini egg pancakes anyone?), an Easter egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny, himself. Hurry, there are still some resos left!
This culinary heavyweight neighbouring the Shangri-La may be known for their ramen and Japanese tapas, but Easter weekend 2016 (Saturday + Sunday) marks the launch of Momofuku’s new Bagel Feast series. Fresh bagels are accented by lamb sausage, smoked trout, spreads, and other accoutrements. Or, order a la carte and choose from menu standouts like buttermilk pancakes, a raw bar, breakfast sausage and baked beans, and more. Boozy brunch? Duh, mimosas, Caesars and the other likely suspects will be on offer, as well as an intriguingly titled Death in the Afternoon cocktail (made with absinthe and bubbly).
Harbourfront-dwellers looking to skip the dishes this Easter weekend: Toula Restaurant will be hosting an authentic Italian Easter brunch on Sunday March 27th. On the 38th floor of the Westin Harbour Castle, this is a serious room with a view, with a south-facing gaze to Lake Ontario. Choose from a brunch buffet of spring salads (fennel, apple and cabbage coleslaw with champagne dressing, anyone?) to traditional Italian antipastos including cheese and salumi. Tuck in with a little roast beef or turkey from the carving station and indulge in a slew of desserts, from homemade chocolate cake to Easter eggs!
Swiftly becoming a Toronto go-to for anything special occasion, Colette Grand Café will be hosting a festive Easter brunch buffet on Easter Sunday. The airy Parisian bistro in the Thompson Hotel pulls out all the stops for their weekend brunch spreads, complete with a carvery, seafood raw bar, pastries, quiches and salad, and all the breakfast classics. Missed getting a reservation? They’ll be open on Easter Monday as well, and serving their standard menu.
