I remember coming here in the early 1990s and loved it then. It still has one of the best burgers in town, especially the homemade burger. They serve beer and have a TV as well. I watched the hockey playoffs while having my food. Great food, excellent customer service and hope they do not renovate as I love the classic diner look! If you have never been here, it is a must! Last week we had to organize a sudden meeting for our project with US clients. Due to lack of time we missed out planning for lunch but thanks to my ‘Opentable’ app Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Chicken Parmigianino, Spring Lamb with red wine that I found Carmelina Restaurant in Woodbine Avenue. Their event catering service for lunch & evening snacks made me & my team proud on my decision. I wonder how I missed looking this food place for last many years. Thank you Abbas for your cooperation & on-time food catering service with delicious Italian food as our guests loved it. I was looking for one of the new places to try north of 7, and came across this restaurant. They have very little parking out front, perhaps more behind - or if you want to park across the street and brave the insane driveway, there's more parking there. I am occidental - and was the only one here, which is a relatively good sign. The food arrived super hot but took longer than it does in some nearby Dim Sum places. The delivery people were very clean and well dressed which was pleasing. I was given really nice Jasmine tea when I sat down - but was charged $1 for it....I don't mind, but I've not been charged for tea before (I think of it as water...perhaps it's a Dim Sum thing). The shrimp dumplings had good firm shrimp, with nice flavour, as did the steamed rice noodles. I should have gotten a veg dish but didn't want to overeat. The mango pudding presentation was very nice - a heart form with nice cream / sweetened condensed milk. I'll probably try it again - but felt a bit out of place. Lire plus

Tonight’s dinner was amazing! Zaina (sorry if spelled wrong) was an amazing friendly, professional and down to earth server. Truly a pleasant night! The atmosphere on the patio was great! I often go here for lunch since I work nearby. The Japanese chef is very friendly and welcoming. I've had an incredibly pleasant experience every time just being in this quiet and calm restaurant (although every once in a while it's absolutely full with a lunch crowd!) I like the sushi, salmon nigiri in particular, and their uni is very very good. They don't carry toro at all, by choice. Squid, scallop, hamachi, all great. Rolls are very lovely presented. Everyone I've ever taken with me to this place has enjoyed it, whether they were sushi-addicted like me or just into it once in a while. I'm definetly going back. Lire plus
