I appreciate very much Bacchus Bistro as it is , for me, the only decent dinning in Langley. Unfortunatly, living in Langley , I have been At Bacchus may be too often and find the menu very static. I have tried almost everything on the menu and would like to see something new so now and then. Keep the good work Lire plus

Great British-themed pub in Newport Village! During the Fall and Winter months it is often packed with a casual, yet fun crowd all weekend long. There is live entertainment on the weekends, which can be fun as well. The servers are attentive and the food is generally good (for pub food). I recommend sticking to the more traditional dishes like the stuffed baby yorkies, Guinness soup, shepherd’s pie, and the steak and Guinness pie (my fave!). We were there this past weekend for the first time in awhile and we realized why we love it so much – it’s that comfortable pub down the street when the weather is bad and you don’t feel like cooking! You get the feeling that this restaurant might be good judging by the line-up of people waiting for a table. We went on warm weekend evening so did have to wait to get a spot on the patio, but it was worth it. The service was excellent despite the restaurant being so busy. The food was amazing and the value was unexpected - Order a one-piece dinner and you get 2 pieces of fish, order 2 pieces and you get 3, etc. Don't let the line-up deter you, this place is great. Awesome Asian fusion brunch with Filipino and Vietnamese influences. It was so good that I did not even notice my potato hash had no meat! It was comprised of a unique combo of ingredients including chick peas,l and sweet potato. I tried a bite of the breakfast Vietnamese bun and that was tasty too. There are 8 seats in the patio, not the best view as you see the viaduct but when it is sunny and warm it was just right. The service was friendly and excellent. Several spritzers available too. What a fantastic little eatery for a casual bite. Fantastic selection of nibblies and an even better selection of beers from around the world. A definite must for anyone looking to chill out in a funky downtown spot. Expect to wait on busy nights, I've been there twice now and each time had to wait 10 minutes for a table but the wait is worth every second...not to mention that they will bring you your first drink order to sip while you wait for a table to come free.
