This place is great, especially because of the location. Its only 2 minutes walk away from St. Clair Subway and is especially good if you work nearby. At lunchtime they never run out of food and everything is very high quality. They have spring rolls as well as pop, water and traditional thai beer. You can eat in or get take-away for only $6.00 which is cheaper than a lot of other places in the area, and excellent for a good amount of really tasty food. I would recommend their crystal noodles and barbecue chicken, but their pad thai is also really good. All in all this place is definitely a 5 star restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone! Bangkok Thai Cuisine was fantastic! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the service was excellent. The owner is lovely and so personable, along with her staff. We started off with the Appetizer Assortment which was soooo good and made us excited for what was to follow. We opted for the Pad Thai and we were not disappointed – it was perfectly prepared with just enough sauce and plenty of chicken and tiger shrimps. Finally, we had the Chicken Cashew and the Mixed Vegetables. Both were excellent! Overall, everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. We will definitely be returning! Lire plus

One thing that most reviews on here have not mentioned about Port Perry Thai is that they have a great lunch menu! There's something like 10 different choices, each with hot & sour soup and spring roll, for $7.95! When I worked in Port Perry I used to go here at least once a week, the food is absolutely awesome. The one complaint I would have is that they play classical music, which in itself isn't so bad, but they keep the volume at the lowest possible level! Weird. Lire plus

I loved the food at Golden Bell. Newmarket has a lot of Thai restaurants and while most of them are good, I feel this one greatly stands out as the best. They have a very inexpensive lunch menu and a quaint dining room if you don't opt for take-out. The service is nothing spectacular as far as dining in goes but it is passable. This place was recommended to us by friends who said it was good thai food and they were absolutely correct! My wife popped by after getting off the GO train and ordered 2 take out dishes. She said she was greeted warmly by a young man who also went back to cook the food fresh! The service was fast and the food was delicious! Actually, it was the best tasting pad thai I have ever had! At other places, the flavour and colouring is consistent with catsup and I never enjoyed pad thai that much becuase of this. This pad thai had a lot of flavour. The sauce was rich and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The chicken dish we had was equally as good. The portions were plentiful enough that we had leftovers for lunch the next day! We order from here regularly, we have only ordered the Thai items a couple of times. WE LOVE THE HAKKA dishes. It is very difficult to find any good hakka restaurants in the area especially oshawa/whitby area. Our regular dishes are the: -Bombay chicken -any of the chili or manchurian chicken or beef or shrimp (the shrimp dishes are a little smaller than the chicken or beef )but very tasty. -pad thai/ hakka special chow mein We really like the fact that they have come to know us so when we ask for extra spicy it is extra spicy, never been disappointed. If you are into this type of food then it is definately worth a try. We don't eat in because of our kids but the atmosphere seems very pleasant when we have picked up food. I Lire plus

A party of 3 international travellers were seated at one of the many small quaint tables. The decor resembled that of both Thai and Indian, as did the menus. There were 2 other small parties seated but did not disrupt our experience. Service was immediate and very polite. Beverages were served first and promptly. The wait between entrees and the main course was a little longer than common. The food was edible but not as refined as I would have liked. Tandoori chicken was a little too burnt. Green Curry seemed watery and lacked substance. Chicken masala did not have as much flavor as most. The garlic naan was delicious, moist and crispy. Mango Lassis were perfect. Saffron rice was light and fluffy. This place paid close attention to details with respect to the presentation of the food, prompt service, ambiance and environment. This raised my overall score.
