We decided fish and chips was a good choice after eating turkey. We went into the shop and ordered our dinner, and were we happy. Even after taking the food home it was still hot, and so delicious. The fish was the best tasting I had in a long time, the batter is just perfect and does not overpower the fish. The coleslaw is awesome!! I am going back again. Lire plus

I just visited John's Place for the first time after hearing many positive things about it. My friends were right – this place is amazing. I tried the tortellini, and my girlfriend tried the lasagna. My FAVOURITE restaurant in Victoria. I know why my husband likes it here but it is my favourite too. They have a lot of kinds of alcohol and cocktails and light meals and are spi c and span. This is the only place to go in Vancouver area for real Fish and Chips. Chips are golden brown and crispy! Halibut is like a chicken breast; covered in homemade batter that is nicely done. I find their Malt Vinegar to be a great flavour; some other Fish and Chips outlets serve a cider vinegar which in my estimation just does not 'cut it':. service has always been great; quick and friendly. located in downtown Steveston!
