Haven't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find that they have redecorated. Replaced a number of tables with booths and that makes it much nicer inside. Food is great. Lots of variety. Excellent prices. The one thing about this place that annoys me is that they never bring your bill to the table -- I always have to go to the cash to find out how much the bill is and pay. Honestly...the service may be kinda bad...and they may get quite a bit wrong...but its the only sushi in town that I will eat. The food is amazing quality (when you get it). I absolutely love it. We usually do take outs on weekends but went their for lunch on weekday and thoroughly enjoyed it. It didn't look big buffet but wow had lots of varieties to eat and especially fresh nan and tandoori chicken. Not big on Indian desserts too sweet for me. I have visited many Chinese style restaurants in Oshawa and Whitby and I have to say that I was not expecting this degree of quality and freshness from a fast food place. I would have never ordered from here because I always like to take a look at the menu before I get delivery (which I could not find online) but because of location I decided to give it a try, I mean it's only $30-40 after taxes for their specials so no big deal. When I got my first delivery I was shocked of how much food their was and how tasty it was. Not too greasy, spiced and prepped perfectly, warm, timely, and friendly service. For the price, and for how good the food is, I have no idea what these other reviews are talking about, it's most likely the competition. Lire plus

We went for Easter dinner with my dad who was in town and everybody enjoyed their meals. The ambience is nice, the place is clean and the food selection is bountiful. Our server was interactive, attentive and was very professional in a casual, non snobby way. We all enjoyed our meals! This is comparable to going to the Keg, but you can actually make a reservation and the crowds are never as crazy. I'd recommend this place to anybody! Lire plus

Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner. Lire plus

I come to this place because it is close proximity to where I live. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. There are booths set up like Japanese-styled rooms, jazz music is played in the background (okay not authentic, but meh), the chopsticks are placed in either bamboo boxes or in mini-kimonos. The food, well, it really depends on what your order. I give top marks to the rolls they have, and I especially recommend the Toronto and Monster rolls, those two are unique in their own ways. I didn't like their sushi and sashimis, found their fish rather not fresh. The ramen and udons are excellent. Tempura is a no-go. Service-wise is quite wishy washy due to a lack of staff, especially if you're sitting by the booths. The ring for service technique is ineffective; even I can't tell how the mechanism will notify waitresses that you need assistance. They are very friendly though. Will I visit again? Yes, of course. Just know what you're ordering. Hey, if you visit often, the chefs sometimes give something new for you to try! Lire plus
