“Initially, operating a flower shop was not on my mind; however, my parents ran a florist shop in Taiwan for 20 years before we came to Canada in the 90s,” says Jerry Chao, owner of Fresh Blooms. After completing an engineering degree in Ottawa, Jerry returned to the Lower Mainland with the desire to run his own business and the decision to bring flowers back into his life by following in his parents’ footsteps came naturally. With the help of his parents, Jerry opened the doors of Fresh Blooms in 2008 in the heart of Langley.
“These days people can buy flowers everywhere, so we decided to focus on higher-end designs, created with premium flowers. Most of our designs are contemporary or elegant styles, which is a bit different than what other shops in the area offer,” says Jerry. Fresh Blooms specializes in unique floral arrangements and planters for everyday occasions, corporate functions and weddings, each designed to suit their customers’ needs.
Being centrally located enables Fresh Blooms to provide convenient same-day delivery for flowers and gifts in all parts of Langley and the surrounding areas in every direction, including Surrey, White Rock, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford.
