Since it first opened its doors on Pride Weekend in 2007, The Junction has been all about bringing people together.
“It was opened in the heart of the LGBTQ community, and its main focus was to be a safe space for the city's gay clientele,” notes manager Byron Cooke. “That said, we're inclusive. We open our doors to everybody. Davie Village has evolved over the past few years, and so have we.”
And although it's been through some changes in that time (the venue first opened as The Majestic, a live show lounge, and later rebranded as Pulse), The Junction remains one of Davie Village's premiere gay entertainment destinations, offering pub-style fare by day, and a diverse assortment of DJs, drag shows and live performance by night.
“We don't have the pretentious atmosphere that some places have,” Byron explains. “We're moderately priced. There's no dress-code. You can show up casual, or dressed-up, and either way, you won't feel out of place.”
