The service manager was awesome and explained what was required and what could wait. He then explained the itemized bill to me in terms I could understand. I did not feel taken by this garage, which is important to me as a woman.

At first it seemed like a great place to take my car, they were polite, friendly and their availability was flexible. I was able to take my car in right away - what a relief! They ended up quoting me $630 + the $70 fee to check what was wrong with it. Long story short, I found another mechanic shop to do it for $300 tax included. My car has been working great ever since. Moral of the story is, always check around!

Untrustworthy. They lost the wheel lock nut for our wheels and would not take responsibility. This has caused us much tim, grief, and money. At first Donnie said he would take responsibility until he found out how much it would cost to remove the wheels without the locking key. Shame on this business for not standing behind there work. He tried several keys he found in his garage from other poor customer cars who also never had their lock nut key put back properly in their car.

Have been leaving in HFX for 1 year and happened upon this MacLeod's by chance. Very friendly, honest, trustworthy people and service. Best part, they employee a female mechanic. Would highly recommend them to one and all. Am leaving HFX in Dec 2015 and will greatly miss them.
