The fish was fairly good. I've had better, but it was still a nice change not to get fish that is more batter than actual fish. The chips were good, even my co-diner that isn't a big fan of chips was pleasently surprised by them. As for the service...this place is a little hole in the wall kind of shop...You go in buy your fish and you leave...but I tell you...the fella behind the counter was INCREDIBLE!!! I'm going to guess that he was the owner...but he was simply one of the nicest fellas I have ever had the pleasure to encounter in the service industry. He was incredibly polite, jovial, and just one of those types that seem to have the gift when it comes to putting smiles on people's faces. There were several folks in and out at around the same time I was...and each one of them had the same reaction...they'd come in frowning or indifferent about how their day was going...and by the time they left, they were grinning from ear to ear. Even if the fish and chips had been of questionable quality, I would have cut the place some slack simply because of the EXCELLENT service provided...thankfully the food was solid as well. I wish this restaurant nothing but success as the years continue.
