Went last night and our server was Ashley. I was Extremly pleased that she was very informative on their gluten free options. I have not eaten out in 2 yrs because I need to eat this way. I now feel comfortable bringing my 4 yr old out to eat here who also needs to eat gluten free. She has never been to a restaurant. Thanks Ashley and hats off to the owner who make sure staff is knowledgable. I will spread the word to the MANY people I know who eat this way.
My wife and I went for a late lunch on Dec.24/11 arriving at 2pm. We always choose a table over the booths as they (booths) are not comfortable in my opinion.
For an appetizer we ordered the Kapow Shrimp. For the mains: a Meatloaf sandwich, N.Y. Steak sandwich, & coffee.
All the food was hot and delicious and the service was fast, efficient and friendly, thank you Ashley.
The only negative was the music again... that was being played. Loud and awful. We asked that it be turned down. It was, but still noisy. Why can't they choose something nice and have it low?
However, we like the food and the excellent service at Montana's so we will be back.
So we ventured into Montanas based on the reviews I had read and I have to say that we were thoroughly impressed. We visited on Dec 26th at around 4:15pm and we managed to beat the boxing day crowd. The lovely hostess walked us over to our table (we choose the table and not the booths as per one reviewers' recommendation - thanks). Our waitress mackenzie approached our table with such enthusiasm and she even wrote out her name upside down on the paper table cloth while speaking (already impressed with the multitasking). She pointed out the features on the menu and I already knew I wanted steak and my husband wanted some comfort food so he chose the meatleaf. I then had to venture over the washroom area as I am obsessed with clean washrooms and I noticed a sign which read "clean washrooms". Well, I was now very curious and sure enough, the sign was correct. Could be a larger washroom considering the amount of people this restaurant can seat but still thrilled about the cleanliness We waited around 20 minutes for our main dish but well worth the wait. The atmosphere was to be expected at a steakhouse, a lot of screaching children and music was a little loud. Anyway, we enjoyed the food and the clean restaurant and that is good enough for us. We will definitely return!!!
Visited on Friday Feb 25/11 for dinner. We were promptly seated at a table (avoid the booths as we find them awkward) and our server came with menus within 60 seconds. My wife's rib order was done to perfection and the meat just fell off the bone. The baked potato was properly cooked and hot. My steak sandwich (7oz) was also cooked perfectly and was very tender. The side Garden salad was fresh and crisp. The service was fast and courteous... even though the restaurant was full at capacity with people waiting as we left. Kudos to the management staff.
One minor complaint would be the noise level. I wish they would turn off the noise they call music these days.
I don't usually order steak at a restaurant, but my husband and I both did and it was great. The spinach dip was awesome and the service was great too.
