We selected The Old Firehouse based on one Restaurantica review. We typically go to restaurants in the theatre district of NOTL, and were looking for something further afield. We were very pleased. The person who ordered the onion soup tends to order this regularly when he goes to restaurants and he declared the onion soup to be "outstanding". When asked about their entrees, everyone volunteered that they were excellent and that they would return to the Old Firehouse next year when they return to NOTL (2 of the 4 people drove 500 km to reach NOTL).

Absolutely Fantastic! It was recommended to us by the locals and we have never been so satisfied with a meal. If in the Niagara-on-the-lake area do yourself a favour and visit this place.

Based on previous reviews we decided to visit this restaurant. We were extremely pleased with all of our dishes and our waitress was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The food in this restaurant was quite tasty. It is small but cozy. The waitress was good. What turned us off overall was that the menus were stained with food and the wine list which we had to ask for was dirty and really old and tattered. Because these things come first we were a little worried about the food because first impressions are important. The food was fine but they do need to assess cleanliness.
