Barrel Restaurant

Ordered in from the Barrel and wasn’t very happy for 60 bucks Portions get smaller prices go higher. Fettuccini was kinda cold my Chicken Souvlaki came with three very small cubes of chicken and six small PCs of potatoes Barrel moves to bottom of my list. Too bad it used to be my favorite.

My wife and I usually enjoy the food at the Barrel, not this time. We ordered two panzerotties and a large Caesar salad. The panzerotties were mostly dough and when cut open a watery liquid poured out. The dough was under cooked and we think they forgot half the filling. As for the salad it was less then appealing, and didn't come with enough dressing. I hate to say but I think it will be a long time before we order from the Barrel again if ever.

Excellent

We have come every year in December from Hamilton to Simcoe to see the Christmas lights. We stop at the Barrel Restaurant first, and it is a highlight of our trip: excellent food, excellent atmosphere. There is a very large menu, so I know people can order what they want and sometimes get something different from what they want. Suffice to say that I find the Penne Capri on par with meals served in Italy, and my husband and in-laws refuse to order anything other than the lasagna because they enjoy it so much every time. Good work once again!

GRAZIE BARREL

We have been patrons of the Barrel since 2008 and try to go there for dinner when vising our parents. This etablishment has been an anchor for Simcoe for many years. We had the Italian short ribs which was the feature and my parents both had the lasagne. The food was excellent as always!! We had a reservation and the restaurant was very busy so I would advice you call ahead!! Our waitress was very pleasant I believe her name was April!

PATIO IF FINALLY HERE

Went to the Barrel for our Rehearsal dinner. The place was packed but the service and food were phenomenal. We booked the entire patio for our party and had two waitresses assigned to us. Everyone was happy with their meals and service. The new wine menu was great . Make sure you try the Itaian Rustic Poppers for app they are melt in your mouth delicous.
