I don't dislike the food here but I can't call it Korean either. Let's call it Asian fusion, shall we? This restaurant and the other chains are owned by Chinese restauranteurs and being a 1.2 generation Korean (born and raised there), it's tough to compare their marinaded meat to what you get at home. It's safe to say most of the AYCE Korean bbq places in the GTA are owned by non-Koreans capitalizing on the growing popularity of Korean food. Or maybe it's just the fact that you can eat as much bbq as you want for less than $15 that's all the rage.
Good food, good service and GOOD VENTILATION This is one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants. My party ordered the first All-You-Can-Eat Buffet that cost $12 each. They have another AYCE Buffet choice with shrimp and lamb for $3 extra. We didn't get that because we wanted to fill up on meat - it's Korean BBQ! If you add $1.75, you get All-You-Can-Drink too. And also, for $2 more, you can eat all the veggies and fruits you want. These other choices are all optional, so you can cater to what you want. Food - They brought us soup and rice to start off with (both of which you can reject if you want to leave room for the meat). All the meat was well-marinated, and we loved all the kimchee, especially the turnip and potatoes. The choices (for our buffet type) included two types of fish (one is salmon), squid, short ribs, beef, chicken, pork, ox liver and ox tongue. They managed the flavoring really well because I didn't feel thirsty afterwards from the MSG. Drink - Most of us got fountain drinks, but I had ordered their Real Fruit Milkshake in mango. It was really delightful. They also provide you with the option to mix two different types of fruits. Yummy! Service - We went on a busy Saturday night, but they served us well - even after we kept asking for more food. We didn't get any attitude from them, and they happily brought us everything we need - more meat, more kimchee, new grill, etc. Ventilation - After eating at other Korean BBQ restaurants, I normally smell it on my clothes and hair the entire night. Not the case here! Their ventilation was excellent, leaving no odor on me. This is one Korean BBQ restaurant that I'll keep coming back to! And try them for lunch too; they've got great bento boxes - really great price for a lot of food.
The food was great, marinated just right, just the right size and thinkness to grill, tasted wonderful. Some portions had excess fat that needed to be trimmed off, but it was neither a problem nor a hassle, keeping the grill clean by pushing off any residue is a must though, letting it build up affects the taste of later servings (the grill was properly cleaned before setting, a major plus) Service was good, fast, friendly and whenever you were low on a dish, they were right there to ask what you need (as opposed to other restraunts that just keep bringing it, personally I like being able to specify if I want another dish of lamb, or I've had my fill of it), the only thing that made the service just good rather then great was the occasional languistic issue with some of the staff (english definitely being their second language for some) however it was not a experiance ruining issue, overall there were no issues, and the few times she had trouble understanding she did her best, and there was always another member of staff that had perfect command of english around just incase). Other Amenities: The restraunt is a bit small, not crowded but it's not a huge establishment, seatting was neither tight nor uncomfortable, however larger parties might want to split up thier groups for practicality, a party of 5 fit on a table for 6, but with all the side dishes and meats the table was crammed with food, 6 to a table would have been really awkward, it's also difficualt to fit more then 4 people to a burner, so I'd recommend any party of more then 4 trying to arrange for 1 table per 4 people if possible.
It was amazing. I kinda wish they gave you more seasoning, and I don't know how to keep the fish together on the grill, but it was delicious. Their soy sauce is one of the best I've ever had. Overall though, food was 10. Mind you I didn't try the liver, but I hate liver... ox tongue was great! Service was very friendly and prompt. I love this place, and its cheap. Lunch is like $9 for AYCE tastiness.

All you can eat Korean B.B.Q. dinner for $11.99! Interesting design B.B.Q. in the middle of your table. Your cook the meat, fish, shrimp by yourself. They bring you the rice, kimchi, tofu, etc. The food are excellent. The services are good. All this for $11.99!
It was a great experience, I loved the whole cook your own food thing, but there was a little slow service, althought we were there for Mother's Day. All and all a fun experience.
